John Nelson, M.D., MPH

Chief Medical Officer

John Nelson, M.D., M.P.H, serves as the chief medical officer of Predictive Technology Group and is an obstetrician and gynecologist in Salt Lake City, Utah. Prior to Predictive, Dr. Nelson served as the president of the American Medical Association, Salt Lake County Medical Society, and the Utah Medical Association. He also chaired the Finance and Planning Committee of the World Medical Association. Dr. Nelson served on the advisory committee to the director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as, on the advisory committee for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). As a spokesperson for the American Medical Association Alliance, he lectured on detecting and preventing interpersonal violence. Dr. Nelson also became a charter member of the Prospective Payment Assessment Commission (ProPAC), now known as MedPAC. As a founding co-chair of the Commission to End Healthcare Disparities, he received a Lifetime Service Award from the National Medical Association. Dr. Nelson received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine.
